Waiting Hai Streams Free on Prime Video September 16; Divyenndu & Bhuvan Arora Lead MX Original

Mirzapur favourite Divyenndu is back on screens with a very different beat. Waiting Hai, Prime Video’s upcoming MX Original scam dramedy, premieres for free on September 16 — the same week India’s OTT calendars are already stacked — and turns every traveller’s Tatkal nightmare into a rooted cat-and-mouse thriller.

Set in Patna, the series follows Sugam Mishra, a newly posted Railway Police constable played by Divyenndu, who is still finding his feet on the job and at home. When confirmed tickets start vanishing within seconds of the booking window opening, while ordinary passengers stay stuck on long waiting lists, Sugam smells a racket. That trail leads him to Afroz Hamsa, a tech-savvy hacker played by Bhuvan Arora, whose workaround for the ticketing system spirals into something far bigger than a local hustle.

National Award-winning filmmaker Sameer Vidwans (Anandi Gopal, Satyaprem Ki Katha) directs the nine-episode run, blending desi humour with a crime-driven chase. Harshita Gaur plays Sugam’s wife Princy, who pushes him to dig deeper, while Kumud Mishra, Vijay Maurya, Srushti Tare and Sunita Rajwar round out key supporting turns. The series is presented by Jio Studios and produced by Jar Pictures’ Jyoti Deshpande and Ajay Rai — a familiar combo for grounded Hindi originals with street-level stakes.

For Movified readers building this week’s watchlist, the practical bit is simple. Waiting Hai streams free on Prime Video from September 16 as an MX Original, and is also available on the MX Player Android app now branded MX Player by Prime Video. If you have ever refreshed IRCTC until your thumb hurt, this is the desi scam story that finally puts that anxiety on screen — with Divyenndu and Bhuvan Arora on opposite sides of the rails.
