“From watching Kacche Dhaage as a kid to working with him in Sultan of Delhi, is quite a surreal journey for me.” Nishant Dahiya on his working experience with Milan Luthria

The road to power, a heart-warming friendship and the charm of the 60s, Disney+ Hostar’s upcoming power-packed series, Sultan Of Delhi has it all. Based on the book, Sultan of Delhi: Ascension by Arnab Ray, the series is produced by Reliance Entertainment Directed by Milan Luthria, and Co-Directed and Co-written by Suparn Verma. Reimagining the charm of old India and creating a visual spectacle on-screen, Milan Luthria marks his OTT directorial debut with this larger-than-life mass entertainer, ‘Sultan Of Delhi” which is all set to release on 13th October 2023. The series stars Tahir Raj Bhasin, Anjumm Shharma, veteran actor Vinay Pathak alongside Nishant Dahiya and the ladies Anupriya Goenka, Mouni Roy, Harleen Sethi and Mehreen Pirzada, making for a perfect ensemble cast.

Working on a Milan Luthria project is always a dream come true for any actor. Nishant Dahiya who plays the role of RP Singh opens up about his experience of working on a Milan Luthria directorial and is full of praises for him.

Talking about the same, Nishant Dahiya said, “Working with Milan sir was an absolute blast and obviously a learning experience. He has this very positive, endearing and welcoming persona and has this knack of making things very easy for his actors. He knows exactly what he wants on set and when he explains things, he makes it so very easy to go ahead and perform the scenes. He is also someone who gives you a lot of space to do your own thing with your characters and experiment ourselves. If there is something that probably he thinks we could change, he comes up to his actors and discusses the same. He is very fluid and one of those directors who listens to his actors and tries to understand what we want to say. If he likes someone’s thoughts, he will try to incorporate it in the scene. This is definitely one of his great qualities. He is also extremely funny on set and most of our time is enjoyable on set because of his jokes. We’ve had great laughs and it’s an absolute joy to work with him. From watching Kacche Dhaage as a kid to working with him in Sultan of Delhi, is quite a surreal journey for me.”

Sultan of Delhi is set to stream, 13th October, 2023 onwards, exclusively on Disney+ Hotstar
