Is Satish Kaushik from a Punjabi family?

Satish Kaushik was born on April 13, 1956, in the Indian states of Mohindergarh, Patiala, and East Punjab. He is an actor and director who has appeared in films such as Pardesi Babu (1998), In Your Name (2003), and Udta Punjab (2016). He is a member of the Asian Academy Of Film and Television’s International Film And Television Club. Shanu (Shakti) was his son, and he died in the 90s.

He is most known for his appearances in the films Mr. India, Pappu Pager in Deewana Mastana, and “Chanu Ahmed” in Sarah Gavron’s British film Brick Lane (2007). He received the Filmfare Best Comedian Award twice, for Ram Lakhan in 1990 and Saajan Chale Sasural in 1997.

His most well-known stage performance was as ‘Willy Loman’ in Salesman Ramlal, a Hindi-language adaption of Arthur Miller’s Death of a Salesman. For Kundan Shah’s comedic masterpiece Jaane Bhi Do Yaaron, he wrote dialogues (1983). Sridevi’s Roop Ki Rani Choron Ka Raja was his maiden film as a director (1993).

Satish Kaushik was a partner in the Chandigarh Film City project alongside Parsavnath Developers, a real estate company. After the foul play was uncovered by the media, the real estate corporation was compelled to abandon this multi-million dollar project.
