Awara Paagal Deewana is a remake of which Hollywood movie?

The plot of Akshay Kumar-Suneil Shetty’s film Awara Paagal Deewana was based on the Bruce Willis-Matthew Perry blockbuster The Whole Nine Yards.

Vikram Bhatt directed Awara Paagal Deewana, a 2002 Indian Hindi-language action black comedy film. Anu Malik gave the music for the movie, and Sameer wrote the lyrics. It incorporates action scenes coordinated by stunt director Dion Lam, who worked on The Matrix and Hong Kong action films, and has a plot partly based on The Whole Nine Yards.

It was renowned for its opulent and exotic song picturizations, Akshay Kumar’s stunts/action scenes, and Paresh Rawal’s popular humorous chemistry with Johnny Lever, who played Chhota Chhatri, a funny character. In 2005, a sequel, Deewane Huye Paagal, was released.
Jonathan Lynn directed The Whole Nine Yards, which was released in 2000 by Warner Bros. and directed by Jonathan Lynn. Bruce Willis, Matthew Perry, Amanda Peet, Michael Clarke Duncan, and Natasha Henstridge star in the film, which was written by Mitchell Kapner. It follows a mild-mannered dentist as he travels to Chicago to notify a mob boss about his new neighbor, a former hitman who has a bounty on his head.

Morgan Creek Productions, Franchise Pictures, Rational Packaging, and Lansdown Films collaborated on the movie, which was released on February 18, 2000. The movie was met with mixed reviews from critics and grossed $106 million at the box office. In 2004, a sequel, The Whole Ten Yards, was released.
