Which is the debut movie of Ethan Hawke?

Ethan Green Hawke, also known as Ethan Hawke, is an American actor, director, and screenwriter, born on November 6, 1970. He had received four Academy Award nominations as well as a Tony Award nomination. Hawke’s filmography includes three feature films, three off-Broadway plays, and a documentary. He’s also the author of three novels and a graphic novel.

He made his movie debut in the science fiction movie Explorers in 1985, before breaking out with the drama Dead Poets Society in 1989. He acted in several films before landing a leading role in the Generation X movie Reality Bites in 1994, for which he gained critical acclaim.

Explorers is a 1985 American science fiction movie directed by Joe Dante and written by Eric Luke. The film stars Ethan Hawke, River Phoenix, and Jason Presson as a group of teenage lads who build a spacecraft to explore the universe. Industrial Light & Magic created the special effects, with Rob Bottin handling the make-up.

The picture was rushed into production and never finished correctly. The company ordered that Dante cease editing and push the film for a July release, which was overshadowed by the Live Aid event, which took place one day after the film’s debut, and fierce competition from Back to the Future, which premiered nine days previously. It was a box office flop when it was released, but its VHS version gave it a cult following.
