Which was Anthony Hopkins’s last movie?

Sir Philip Anthony Hopkins CBE, a Welsh actor, film director, and producer, was born on December 31, 1937. Two Academy Awards for Best Actor, four BAFTAs, two Emmys, the Cecil B. DeMille Award, and a British Academy Television Award are among his many honors.

The Two Popes is a biographical drama movie directed by Fernando Meirelles and written by Anthony McCarten, based on McCarten’s play The Pope, which had its world premiere at the Royal & Derngate Theatre in 2019.

The movie follows Pope Benedict XVI, played by Anthony Hopkins, as he tries to persuade Cardinal Jorge Mario Bergoglio, played by Jonathan Pryce, to reconsider his decision to resign as an archbishop as he confides his own intentions to abdicate the papacy in the aftermath of the Vatican leaks scandal.
