Arnold Alois Schwarzenegger, an Austrian-American actor, former bodybuilder, producer, businessman, and politician, was the 38th Governor of California from 2003 to 2011. He is the most recent Republican governor of California as of 2021.
Tim Miller directed Terminator: Dark Fate, which was written by David Goyer, Justin Rhodes, and Billy Ray and was based on a storyline by James Cameron, Charles Eglee, Josh Friedman, Goyer, and Rhodes. Cameron and David Ellison co-produced the picture.
Following the return of creative authority to Cameron, it is the sixth episode in the Terminator franchise and a sequel to Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991). It ignores the events of Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines (2003), Terminator Salvation (2009), and Terminator Genisys (2015).
Linda Hamilton and Arnold Schwarzenegger reprise their roles as Sarah Connor and the T-800 Terminator, respectively, in the film, which marks the actors’ first reunion in 23 years. Mackenzie Davis, Natalia Reyes, Gabriel Luna, and Diego Boneta are among the new characters introduced.
Critics thought the picture was better than the previous chapters, praising the cast and action scenes, but were divided on the narrative choices. The picture made $261 million on a production budget of $185–196 million, but it is said to have lost as much as $130 million, and subsequent features were canceled.
